In this semester's profile book project, my goal is to capture the beauty of the people who I live with. In the Her House (Harriet E Richards House at Boston University), we all share our lives with 23 amazing women. Each has her own smile, her own voice, her own personality, and her own beauty. In this theme I am exploring those smiles, those voices, and those personalities into a collection of expressions, faces and colors that accurately represent the people in the portraits.

I am experimenting with my "studio in pinch" settings, using natural light from the French room windows as my only light source. I use a white foam board as the background, to make it as pure and clean as possible, like a blank canvas. I do not alter any colors, I use Photoshop only to put my signature. I want the women's colors to completely blossom with their most beautiful spectrum, completely contrasting with the white background.

This series is a tribute to the HER House women, and also a tribute to our beauty.
